How Do I Know If I Have Varicose Veins?

Varicose veins are small bluish, twisting veins that are generally visible under the skin. Patients with varicose veins typically experience cramping, aching, burning, itching, or even a dull pain in their legs. Your legs may feel tired and restless. Your skin may also become discolored due to excessive itching and scratching.

Carotid Artery Disease

The carotid artery is one of the main vessels that supply blood to the brain and face.  When plaque builds up in the carotid artery, it causes narrowing and hardening of the artery. Increased flow velocity through the narrow artery causes some of the plaque to break up and migrate to the brain where it obstructs blood flow and causes a stroke.  Our office can check for this condition with ultrasound. By detecting carotid disease early, we can take quick action to prevent incapicating strokes.

Sometimes symptoms occur 15 or more years following an injury to your lymphatic system. When symptoms eventually occur, they can include: Aching, weakness, redness, heaviness, or tightness in one of your limbs, Less flexibility in your wrist or ankle and tight-fitting rings or shoes.
